A Message from Doctors
The Dental clinics are open for care by appointment and walk-ins. The Emergency Clinic is open for walk-in appointments on a first come, first serve basis.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will see some changes to our protocols. We did this for your safety and the safety of our dental providers. As a healthcare facility, we require everyone to wear a face covering/mask while in our building.
What to Expect Before/Day of Your Appointment
Appointment Confirmation: Co-ordinator will call or an email before your appointment. Please use the link included in the email to confirm your appointment. If you do not, you will receive a confirmation text and may be subject to messaging charges based on your plan.
Health Screening Questions: When you arrive for your appointment, we will ask COVID-19 screening questions.
If your answer is “yes” to any of the following, please contact your clinic to reschedule:
Do you have ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS (not related to hay fever or seasonal allergies)?:
Fever >100.0 F
Cough/shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
Congestion/runny nose
Chills/repeated chills with shaking
Muscle pain/body aches/fatigue
Headache/sore throat
New loss of taste or smell
Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
- Have you had close personal contact with a known or suspected COVID-19 case in the last 14 days or anyone who is symptomatic?
- Have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
Visitor Policy: If you need assistance, we are only allowing one essential visitor to come with you to your appointment. Your essential visitor will also be asked the COVID-19 screening questions.
Hygiene Practices: When you are inside, we will ask you to use hand sanitizer. You will also find hand sanitizer in the reception area and other places in the school. Please use, as needed.
Physical Distancing: Appointments will be managed to allow for physical (social) distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
Kiosks: If you use the kiosks to check into your appointment, we ask that you wipe it down after use with the sanitizing wipes provided.
Wait Times: We will do our best to allow more time between patients to reduce waiting times for you and to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
Be Prompt: We ask you to be on time for your appointment. If you’re late, we may need to reschedule your appointment. Please call your clinic if there is an issue.
Vaccinations: Regardless of your vaccination status, you will be required to follow all School of Dental Medicine safety protocols.
Requirements
All patients are required to wear facial coverings. Please wear your facial covering when inside our building. A dental staff member will tell you when it's okay to remove it.
If you have received the COVID-19 vaccine, you must continue to follow the State of Colorado's requirements for wearing masks while in healthcare settings, maintain physical distance, and practicing hand hygiene.
Following recent health guidelines, we ask that you notify your student provider or clinic if you develop signs or symptoms of COVID-19 infection within 14 days after your dental appointment.
