The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Saveetha Dental College, successfully organized a Rotary Endodontics Workshop with Hands-On Patient Training on 26–27 July 2025. This two-day intensive program was designed to provide participants with both in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical clinical experience in rotary endodontic techniques.
The workshop featured eminent speakers and skilled clinicians — Dr. Manish Ranjan, Dr. Aparna Mohan, and Dr. Sarita Bhandari — who shared their expertise through interactive lectures, live demonstrations, and direct clinical mentoring. The sessions covered a wide range of topics, including the principles of rotary instrumentation, file selection, glide path management, irrigation protocols, and tips for achieving predictable clinical outcomes.
A key highlight of the program was the hands-on patient training, where participants performed rotary endodontic procedures under expert supervision, allowing them to gain real-time feedback and refine their clinical skills. The combination of evidence-based lectures and patient-centered practice ensured a holistic learning experience for all attendees.
Innovation in endodontics has transformed the field, enhancing precision, efficiency and comfort of treatment. These lectures focused on two important and evolving concepts in the field of endodontics: Reciprocation and Bioceramics. As dental professionals, we constantly seek techniques that improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety when performing root canal treatments. Reciprocation has emerged as a powerful method to meet these objectives. Bioceramics in endodontics represent a critical advancement in dental materials, particularly in the field of root canal treatment.
